English students at SMSU actively contribute to the campus's three student publications, The Spur student newspaper, Bare Root Review, and Perceptions Literary Magazine.

The Spur

The Spur student newspaper is published every other week and writers come from all majors. The paper offers a unique opportunity for Professional Writing and Communication majors to practice their editing and journalism skills. To view The Spur's website, click here.

Bare Root Review

Bare Root Review is a literary e-zine from the Creative Writing program. Submissions showcase solid writing in fiction, poetry, creative non-fictions and flash fiction.

Perceptions Literary Magazine
