Pathways to SMSU ~

There are several options to a Management Degree at SMSU ~ find the one that is right for you!

If you have an Associate of Applied Science Degree ~ the Bachelor of Science Degree was made for you!

  • The BAS degree will accept a maximum of 42 technical credits from an AAS degree and of course all of the general education credits will transfer.
  • The full 10 goal area of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, the Graduation Requirements and the Management major will need to be completed for the degree.
  • All of the requirements will be available online at SMSU or through a partnering institution.
  • A minor can be added to the BAS degree. Minors available are ~ Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Management.

If you have an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree ~ the Bachelor of Science Degree is an excellent path for you!

  • The BS degree will accepte a maximum of 16 technical credits and of course all  general education credits will transfer.
  •  Any remaining requirements of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, the Graduation Requirements and the Management major will need to be completed to finish the degree.
  • All of the requirements will be available online at SMSU or through a partnering institution.
  • The BS degree has a "concentration" element that students can choose from four options; General Management (this is the default that students are enrolled in unless they choose a different concentration); Human Resource Management Concentration; International Management Concentration; or Supply Chain Concentration.
  • A minor can be added to the BS degree. Minors available are ~ Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Mangement (coordination between concentration & minors need to be discussed with advisors).

Perhaps a Certification will advance you in your career goals?  SMSU offers a Certificate in Supply Chain Management!

  • The certificate in Supply Chain Management is 18 credits and encompasses 6 courses.
  • All are available through Extended Learning and online formats.
