Duties Performed

  • This position is exclusive to Southwest Minnesota State University students who will assist in the marketing and promotion of all SMSU athletic team and community engagement events through various digital media platforms. Student must possess the ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment and be a problem solver. Student must have a passion for athletics and an interest in pursuing a career in the sports or media industries.

Figure Drawing Model

Male and female models needed to model for ART 326 Figure Drawing. Models pose nude for drawing students. Poses range from very short times of less than 1 minute to longer poses with breaks every 20 minutes.

Student Election Engagement Fellowship

Department: Center for Civic & Community Engagement Hours per week: 5-10

  • A commitment to educating peers about the importance of voter registration and becoming an informed voter
  • Self-starters who take initiative to develop and implement their work plans high degree of responsibility/follow-through

Duties Performed

  • Participate in nonpartisan online training sessions.
  • Develop and refine work plan and collaborate with other Fellows.
  • Meet weekly with fellowship administrator, Director of Career Services and Center for Civic & Community Engagement.
  • Document action plan, goals, activities, and deliverables. This includes but is not limited to the number of students reached and activities completed.
  • Collaborate and partner with student organizations, campus administrators, and faculty to organize voter registration, voter education, and voter engagement efforts at SMSU.
  • Plan and complete at least 6 total election engagement activities (2 voter registration, 2 voter education, and 2 GOTV activities).
  • Compose and submit a post-election report summarizing activities and accomplishments.

Student Groundskeeper

We pay $1-2 per hour differential over normal workstudy rate depending on experience.

Duties Performed

  1. Operating a walk behind mower. 
  2. Operating a line-trimmer (weed-eater).
  3. Litter and garbage pickup.
  4. Spraying of cracks. We spray Round-Up on the cracks in the sidewalks and parking lots. This is the only spraying I have students do.
  5. Detailing vehicles and equipment.
  6. Pulling weeds and watering.
  7. Snow shoveling, and spreading ice-melt.
