Anthony Amato will serve again as Rural Studies Section Coordinator for the Western Social Science Association Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. He has served for past meetings in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

As section coordinator, he has reviewed and scheduled paper and panel proposals. The section's sessions featured a broad array of papers addressing topics ranging from media-framing of contemporary factory farming to women's clubs and social change in the Intermontane West. At the conference sessions, Anthony Amato has delivered his own papers, chaired panels, and served as a discussant for panels.
