Southwest Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission - Amateur Sports Center

The purpose of this research was to determine the views of the community on an Amateur Sports Complex and the resulting level of support that the forthcoming tax vote supporting it will receive. It was essential to implement processes that will determine what is important to the public, permitting the development of methods for Client to channel their resources and strategies in the right direction. With the help of the Southwest Marketing Advisory Center, the referendum was passed during the 2012 elections.

Conclusions

  • Promotional activities to date have been effective
  • Greater understanding exists for Sports Facility compared to MERIT Center
  • Greater emphasis could be directed to resident's personal benefits of MERIT Center
  • Greater emphasis on additional amenities that would result from passage
