Enactus Logo

Enactus

Enactus, formerly known as SMSU's SIFE, is an international student organization with chapters on more than 1400 campuses in 42 countries. The goals of Enactus teams all over the world is to “change the world” by engaging in projects that improve their communities and the lives of people all across the globe.

Enactus team members leverage their personal educational experiences, the expertise of their faculty advisors, the support of their local
business advisory boards, and the resources of their institutions to implement programs that create real economic opportunities for members of their communities.

The effectiveness of their programs is judged at competition. Each national Enactus organization conducts a national competition, which is judged by leaders from its business community. Our Enactus team is a very competitive organization.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Club

The HR Club has a professional orientation and affiliation with its parent organization, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). SHRM is an international association made up of professionals in the field of human resource management. The association includes roughly 100,000 professional members.
The Society sponsors an annual collegiate academic knowledge competition. Questions in this competition emphasize the human resource function, but also cover other subject areas within business. SMSU has participated in this competition for several years. Past teams have ranked at the national level. We are proud of our students’ accomplishments in this rigorous academic competition.
Other activities that the HR Club is involved with include attendance at the annual Minnesota Society for Human Resource Management Conference. This professional conference is held during October of every year. Also, the Club is involved in fundraisers, resume writing workshops, and social events throughout the year.

The Society for Leadership and Success is committed to helping members achieve their desired outcomes, through identifying challenges, facilitating goal setting, and encouraging the commitments by members to follow-through. There are six video conference speakers
annually, many of which are New York Times Best Selling authors and well known speakers in the area of Leadership and Success. The speakers are free and open to the public. Success Networking Teams (SNT's) are assigned to all new pending members to guide them in the process, toward their completion and induction as life time members.
