The Master of Science in Education (Academic Catalog)- This program is designed to develop leadership capacity in teachers and learners, transforming education by implementing change in classrooms and/or work settings. Conducted in a learning community format, the program curriculum utilizes current research on community building, teaching and learning, inquiry, ethics, technology, and social action, as well as the life experiences of the participants. Participants also enhance their expertise in content areas. The themes of the program are consistent with concepts of diversity, democracy, and dignity, focusing on technology, scholarship, community building, leadership, teaching, and learning theory, and portfolio assessment.
