Published Tuesday, March 17, 2015

Food from around the world will be featured on Saturday, April 11 at the 25th annual International Food Festival at Southwest Minnesota State University. The event will be from 5-8 p.m. in the upper level of the Student Center.

SMSU has 150 international students representing 25 countries, said Michael Kurowski, International Student Services coordinator. Of those 25 countries, more than 15 will be represented at the event.

Just 250 tickets will be sold. Tickets are available from SMSU international students, and from the International Student Services office, SC 237. No tickets will be sold at the door.

“This is a good way to meet our international students, learn about their countries and taste the foods they enjoyed growing up,” said Mike Kurowski, coordinator of International Student Services.

Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12, and free to children five and under.

This year marks the silver anniversary of the celebration of international culture at SMSU. For more information, call 507-537-7436.
