Congratulations SMSU Class of 2021

As we count down to Commencement 2021, several individuals offer congratulations and words of advice in this video. They include Student Body President Esther Oluborode; Deans Aimee Shouse and Raphael Onyeaghala; Marshall Mayor Bob Byrnes; SMSU Foundation Board Chair Dave Werpy; Faculty Association President Sara Fier; and Alumni Director Mike Van Drehle.

This year’s Commencement ceremony will look different than the traditional event, but we are excited that we will still be able to have a limited, in-person celebration. Due to restrictions on public gatherings, we will be sharing part of the traditional ceremony virtually. Each day during Commencement Week, we will share video links to speakers and other features that would normally be done in person. On Saturday, May 8, we will conduct the Conferral of Degrees in person.
