Curriculum Proposal

Curriculum proposals to designate a course into the LEP and to satisfy one of the 10 Minnesota Transfer Curriculum goal areas are considered proposals of major significance.  These items are reviewed by the Liberal Education Committee and forwarded with recommendations to the Curriculum Committee.  Proposals of majors significance are brought before faculty assembly for a vote.  Proposal forms are available on the Curriculum Committee webpage.

LEP 100/400 courses can be proposed at any time during the semester. However, proposals must pass through the curriculum process prior to drafting semester schedules if the course is to appear on the next semester schedule. Proposals for LEP100/400 are considered proposals of less than major significance and should use the following instructions and forms. Please include a syllabus with course proposals.

Programs can designate an upper level core skills course for the major using the Proposal of major significance form.
