Ag Faculty with Student

Your Success Story Starts Here.

SMSU’s School of Agriculture, Culinology® and Hospitality Management (or ACHM) is a dynamic team of students, faculty and staff who pursue educational opportunities ‘from the farm to the fork.’

Our ACHM School offers a wide range of valuable degree programs, field experiences, and internships. Our student Ag Club, PAS Chapter, SHO Club and Culinology® Club are among the most progressive organizations on campus. We are also proud of our faculty’s reputation for student-centeredness and our "open door policy". We make the extra effort to reach out to our students, and ensure they have all the support they need to complete their degrees and obtain gainful employment after graduation.

SMSU’s Science and Technology (ST) Building is the home for our full-time SMSU agriculture-related faculty. Our programs are adjacent to Minnesota’s Agriculture Utilization Research Institute’s (AURI’s) offices/laboratories and also the Executive Director’s office for the Minnesota Agricultural and Rural Leadership (MARL) Program. We are close-by to the SMSU Greenhouse and the laboratory classrooms needed for our Agronomy, Animal Science and Agricultural Solutions courses.

Our Culinology® and Hospitality Management Programs are conveniently located in the Individualized Learning (IL) Building on campus. The IL Building includes all of SMSU’s kitchens, labs and restaurant facilities needed by our students in the food- and hospitality-related majors.

Join us! SMSU is known as the university ‘where you belong.’

This welcoming theme is more than just a friendly slogan for the members of our ACHM School. We live and learn by it. Check out our programs. We invite you to become part of our Mustang Family!
