Student Payroll Information

Sign up for Direct Deposit for student payroll online using E-Services. 

Pay Advices are available online through Student E-Services accounts. 

Payments are all processed by direct deposit.  Please click here for additional direct deposit directions/information.        

I9, W4, W-4MN and Student Payroll Work Authorization forms  can be printed from links below.  Contract work authorizations are only available from the Office of Business Services, IL 139.

Once a student is authorized to work and paperwork is completed and entered into ISRS, students are able to enter their hours worked through E-Services, Student Employment, Enter Time Worked.  Students must submit their time worked for supervisor to approve the student's time worked.  Students are not to begin work until all paperwork is completed.

 

Please note that international students who intend to work on campus must complete additional paperwork which requires more time for processing. For questions about international student employment, contact Julie Schreier (Julie.schreier@smsu.edu).

Reciprocity Exemption/Affidavit of Residency (MWR Form) - If you are a resident of North Dakota or Michigan but work in Minnesota, you may be exempt from paying Minnesota state income taxes.

Student Employee FICA - Hiring Form - this form is used for students hired to work more than 30 hours per week on a regular basis (should only be during summer or breaks). Please call if you have questions.Student Employee Handbook - this handbook is a resource for student employees and student employee supervisors - all students are to read this when hired
