Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Last updated 6/8/2021

Southwest Minnesota State University is closely monitoring the public health concern involving the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In accordance with MDH and CDC guidance, SMSU is no longer requiring the wearing of masks on campus. We strongly encourage people to help keep everyone safe by getting vaccinated, wearing a mask if you are not vaccinated or simply choose to do so, stay home if you are sick or not feeling well, and practice good hygiene.

For information on the status of events at SMSU, visit our news page at or visit our Facebook page at for the latest information.
