Student Health 101

Student Health 101 is an on-line publication which will provide SMSU students with a way to anonymously research the health and wellness issues that are most prevalent on today’s campuses.This monthly publication uses live magazine technology to deliver health and wellness information in an interactive format that grabs students’ attention and keeps them engaged. The content is written for students, and in many cases, by student writers, to allow our students to better connect with the content. The publication has been designed to allow faculty and staff to not only execute the digital magazine each month, but also leverage tools that allow integration in wellness messaging through and into all parts of campus life.

Each article is reviewed by a Professional Advisory Board and Student Advisory Board to ensure that the right messages are delivered to our students with topics such as:

Stress management
Academic Performance
Alcohol and Other Drugs
Sexual Health Responsibility
Body Image
Eating Well and Working Out
Mental Health
Sleep Habits
Sexual Assault Prevention
Sleep Habits
Healthy Relationships
Tobacco Cessation
Money Management
