The SMSU Library, on 2nd-5th floors of Bellows Academic Center, provides research support for students both on campus and online. Along with traditional print books and journals, there are more resources (e-books, full-text journal articles, and recommended websites) accessible electronically. Research Guides highlight the best starting points for popular subjects and include links to resources available only to the SMSU community. Anyone with questions can Ask a Librarian in person, by phone, email or online chat.
Students wishing to study in the Library during regular hours will find computers, wireless laptops, printers, copy machines, and group study rooms available. Fourth floor is reserved for students who need quiet study space.
The fifth floor of the Library also houses the Writing Center , where students can get help with their writing assignments, and the Speech Center, which provides students the opportunity to videotape and view their presentations.
The William Whipple Art Gallery is accessible through the Library during open hours. The William Whipple Art Gallery typically has twelve exhibitions a year, and features work by alumni, regional and international artists.
