Student Athlete Academic Excellence Award.
The purpose of this award is to recognize student athletes for academic excellence. Student athletes may be nominated by SMSU faculty, staff, and administration. Award is based on:

  • academic performance
  • academic recognition at the national, regional, conference (NSIC) or institutional (SMSU) levels
  • academic involvement on campus (i.e., tutor, URC presentation, Celebrate Science, published study, ...)

Student Athlete Leadership & Civic Engagement.
The purpose of this award is to recognize student athletes for leadership and civic engagement. Student athletes may be nominated by SMSU faculty, staff, students, and administration. Award is based on:
