Volunteer for Mustangs Give: Day of Service

SMSU is hosting the 6th Annual Mustangs Give: Day of Service on Wednesday, September 30. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The day is an opportunity for our Mustang Family to volunteer and give back to the communities we're proud to be a part of. Our communities support us in many ways, so this is one way we can reach out and say thank you during our Homecoming week festivities.

Faculty, staff, and students can sign up for volunteer opportunities around Marshall and area communities. Projects are available at the Marshall Area YMCA, City of Marshall, Hope Harbor, New Horizons Crisis Center, Avera, SMSU, and many other organizations.

Volunteers can check in at the Founders Hall Lobby beginning at 9 a.m. to claim their T-shirt and pick up a yard sign to share at their project site.

Clubs, organizations, and academic programs that have planned their own service projects can contact Melissa Scholten, Director of the Center for Civic and Community Engagement, at melissa.scholten@SMSU.edu to be included in the Day of Service program.
