Join us at SMSU to compete for scholarships!
Southwest Scholars Day is an on-campus scholarship competition from which high school seniors can earn SMSU’s top scholarships! During the day you will also have the opportunity to participate in various events across campus to meet the Mustang Family and learn more about the exciting opportunities we offer our Scholars. Each student is required to fill out the General Scholarship Application, provide an unofficial transcript, and write a personal statement in order to qualify. Qualifying students must have at least a 3.6 weighted GPA or a 28 ACT. Applications open October 1st, 2023 and close January 15th, 2024.
On January 22nd, students will be given a 30 minute time slot to interview with a scholarship committee. Interviews will be conducted on SMSU’s campus located in Marshall, MN. The interviews are designed to get to know the student better. Results of the interviews will be disclosed at a later date.
