SMSU's Credentialing Education Courses

2021 Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement  Courses:

SMSU currently offers three of the four teaching and learning competency courses required by Minnesota State.

Spring 2021 Online Courses:

All three courses offered individually:

CRED 410/510 Instructional Strategies for Community and Tech Colleges  (Undergraduate/Graduate)
CRED 420/520 Assessment & Evaluation of Student Learning for Community & Tech Colleges  (Undergraduate/Graduate)
CRED 430/530 Curriculum Planning and Design for Community & Tech Colleges  (Undergraduate/Graduate)  


Summer Institute 2021 Options:

Session 1 Dates : May 23- Sunday evening, 6-8 p.m. through May 28, Friday, 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, 8-5 p.m.
Location: Brainerd, MN (Cragun's)     

OR

Session 2 Dates: May 30- Sunday evening, 6-8 p.m. through June 4, Friday, 5 p.m.  Monday through Friday, 8-5 p.m.
Location: Specifics TBA- but the location will be southern suburb of the metro area

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Once you have submitted the online Application form, you will receive an email confirmation with the following once we have processed the online form: SMSU ID and registration instructions. If you have questions with the process please feel free to email CoriAnn.Dahlager@SMSU.edu
  3. Information on the tuition waiver application can be found with your Human Resource Office.
