  • Protesting: a complaint, objection, or display of unwillingness usually to an idea or a course of action.
  • Canvassing: to talk to the people in an area in order to get them to support a candidate, project, idea, etc; efficient ways to canvass is to go door-to-door (field canvasses) or by telephone (phone canvasses). 
  • Petition: a written document that many people sign to show that they want a person or organization to do or change something.
