Lunch & Learn Series

Academic Advising is a critical component of student retention and is highly valued at Southwest Minnesota State University. The mission of the “Lunch & Learn Series” is to help academic advisors feel prepared for upcoming academic advising days/programs, keep them up to date on advising topics, and present new strategies to incorporate into academic advising sessions. This series is designed to provide information and facilitate conversations. Every academic advisor has their own personal touch when meeting with their advisees. The “Lunch & Learn Series” is a way for the academic advising community at SMSU to come together to brainstorm when we face challenges and difficulties, and to celebrate the accomplishments and successes we achieve.
