Athletics Game Day Broadcasting

Department: Athletics Hours per week: 5 to 20 (varies week to week based on games/events)

Qualifications

Position purpose:

  • Assist SMSU Director of Creative Content with the marketing and promotion of all SMSU athletic teams and community engagement events through various digital media platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have flexible schedules with nights/weekends available to work gamedays.
  • Majority hours will be on Fridays & Saturdays and dependent on home athletic schedules.
  • Looking for individuals who have a passion for working in sports, strong communication skills, and are willing to commit to work multiple games or work an entire sport’s season specifically (example: working all/most of the home football games).

Duties Performed

  • Positions includes play by play, video camera, replay and webcast.
  • Looking for students who have a passion for athletics, an interest in pursuing a career in the sports or media industries, and the ability to pay close attention while behind a camera

Athletics Game Day Operations

Position Purpose:

  • Assist with operations and implementation of in game marketing, music, operations, and fan engagement on game days.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have flexible schedules with nights/weekends available to work gamedays.

Position purpose:

  • Assist marketing, media, and development staff with promotional duties on game days.

 

Duties Performed

 

  • MUST BE COMFORTABLE PUBLIC SPEAKING IN FRONT OF LARGE CROWDS (have the ability to be comfortable with a microphone and engaging the student body and fans).
  • Sports include football, basketball, soccer and volleyball.
  • Specific promotional activities include: Get to know your mustang, t-shirt toss, half time punt pass and kick, finish the lyric, assisting with Stanger Mascot, amongst other halftime challenges.

Child Care Teacher Assistant

Position Purpose:Circulation Assistants is McFarland Library’s first point of contact for patrons at the circulation desk. This role ensures a welcoming and efficient library environment by check items in and out, shelving item, and answering patrons’ questions.

Clinic Reception

The Health Services Student Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students visiting Health Services. This position supports daily office operations by greeting students, assisting with appointments and check-ins, maintaining office organization, monitoring supplies, and updating digital communications to help ensure efficient and welcoming services.

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
