The Southwest Minnesota State University Autism Spectrum Disorders courses are accessible in an online format. This program will facilitate the current needs of teachers seeking licensure or certification in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders. The courses are available to individuals who hold a Minnesota teaching license. The ASD program offers courses for candidates seeking an anchor or additional license. All Minnesota teaching license requirements must be met to be eligible for the ASD license.
The Autism Spectrum Disorder program leading to licensure, or certificate, is available to individuals who hold a Minnesota teaching license. A certificate is also available if preferred.
Upon application to the program, transcripts will be reviewed and evaluated to ensure the Special Education Core courses and the required reading courses have been taken.
This program will facilitate the current needs of teachers seeking licensure or certification in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
