Autism Spectrum Disorder Licensure or Certificate

The Southwest Minnesota State University Autism Spectrum Disorders courses are accessible in an online format. This program will facilitate the current needs of teachers seeking licensure or certification in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders. The program prepares you to work with students diagnosed with ASD ages birth through 21 years in the mild-to-severe range. The courses are available to individuals who hold a Minnesota teaching license and must meet the Minnesota teaching license requirements to be eligible for the ASD license.

Upon application to the program, transcripts will be reviewed and evaluated to ensure the Special Education Core courses and the required reading courses have been taken.

This program will facilitate the current needs of teachers seeking licensure or certification in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
