Emotional or Behavior Disorder Licensure

The Southwest Minnesota State University Emotional or Behavioral Disorder courses are accessible in an on-line format. This program prepares you to evaluate and design instruction for students with the diagnosis between kindergarten and age 21. Candidates will be prepared to work with students in the mild-to-serve range of the disability. The courses are available to individuals who hold a MN teaching license seeking an anchor or additional license. All Minnesota teaching license requirements must be met to be eligible for the EBD license

Upon application to the program, transcripts will be reviewed and evaluated to ensure the Special Education Core courses and the required reading courses have been taken.

This program will facilitate the current needs of teachers seeking licensure or certification in the area of Emotional or Behavioral Disorder
