McFarland Library is coordinating with the Latinx Club at SMSU to host the club's Dia De Los Muertos display! Here is the club's statement about their display: "Dia De Los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, is a traditional holiday that is celebrated in Mexico and other parts of Latin America. Dia De Los Muertos is a time to celebrate the lives of our loved ones who have passed away. During this time, ofrendas (altars) are built to honor loved ones who have passed on. This year, the SMSU LatinX Club will build an altar for the McFarland Library. Feel free to print out pictures of your loved ones you would like to celebrate and bring them to the altar! Come check it out!" The display is up now and is located in the stairwell, between the 2nd and 3rd floors of the library.
