MATP Special Olympics
"Let me win, but if I can not win, let me be brave in the attempt!"
The 2007 MATP Special Olympics was held on October 28, 2007 in the SMSU R/A facility. MATP (Motorized Activities Training Program) is a Special Olympics Minnesota program designed to provide an opportunity for individuals with severe and profound intellectual disabilities to participate in sports-related activities.
The schedule for the day was the following:

| 2:30-2:45 | Opening Ceremony |
| 2:45-3:30 | Aquatics in Pool |
| Bowling, bocce, and games in R/A | |
| 3:30-3:45 | Snack time |
| Wheelchair demonstration | |
| 3:45-4:30 | Group sports in PE gym |
| Parachute in R/A facility | |
| 4:30-5:00 | Dinner: Schwan's pizza and ice cream |
| 5:00-5:30 | Awards ceremony |
| 5:30-6:00 | SMSU Haunted HALLoween in residence halls, with SMSU student escorts |
