About The CIE

MISSION STATEMENT

The Center for International Education (CIE) at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) serves students from around the world and the wider community to promote international education and cross-cultural understanding.

  • CIE provides advice, counseling, and advocacy on international student visas, academic issues, and personal matters for international students.
  • CIE serves the wider university community by supporting study abroad initiatives and promoting a campus environment conducive to international education and intercultural awareness via educational, social, and cross-cultural programming. 

CIE OFFICE HOURS

Open Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., US Central Standard Time.

Walk-In Advising Available Mondays - Thursdays, 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 pm.  Other times by appointment only.
