Warm Minnesota Greetings from the Center for International Education!

It may be cold during certain seasons here in Minnesota, but you will always be greeted by open arms and warm smiles when you stop by the Center for International Education (CIE). The CIE is the primary point of contact for international students from application through graduation. We look forward to assisting you while you attend Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU)! We will do our best to make SMSU your "home-away-from-home."

Throughout your studies, we will do what we can to help you adjust to the culture and support you as you strive to accomplish your academic and career goals. Not only is our office here to assist you whenever we can, but we also host many university events throughout the year. We look forward to meeting you soon!

The CIE also oversees study abroad opportunities at SMSU. If you are interested in studying abroad in another country, please contact us to schedule an appointment to discuss the numerous options available.
