Jerry Marquardt Memorial/Marshall Radio Scholarship
This scholarship is named in honor of long-time Marshall Radio Broadcaster, Jerry Marquardt. Jerry was a strong supporter of broadcasting education and had a special affinity for sports broadcasting. The purpose of this scholarship program is to honor Jerry's memory by recognizing academic, athletic and/or broadcasting excellence. This scholarship is awarded in a coordinated effort by both the Communication Studies Program and the SMSU Athletic Program. The scholarship is $500 and renewable for up to 4 years. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet at least two of the following criteria:
- Be a student from the KMHL listening area that participated in high school athletics.
- Be majoring in Communication Studies: Broadcasting and Digital Media.
- Be a student-athlete at SMSU.
