Career Services – Graduate Assistant

Position Summary

The Graduate Assistant provides individual resume reviews and job-search assistance to students and alumni, presents Career Services workshops and seminars, supports employer relations, plans and markets career fairs, and assists with Career Services events.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual resume critiques and job-search assistance
• Assist with presentations to classes, clubs, and organizations
• Assist with employer relations
• Help with the planning of career fairs
• Assist with data collection for the annual follow-up study of graduates
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Find and create social media content for office platforms
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one supervision meetings
• Complete special projects as assigned

Orientation and Training

The beginning of the Graduate Assistantship will focus on orientation and training related to the Career Services office, procedures, and services.
