Liberal Education Assessment

As the Liberal Education Committee (LEC) notes on their web site, assessment of Liberal Education Program (LEP) outcomes is a task shared by the whole campus. LEP outcomes are meant to direct student learning throughout a student’s career on campus. First-year and second-year LEP courses introduce students to the range of academic courses that relate to a liberal education. Course work in students’ majors builds on this understanding and focuses on skills employers’ desire such as creative thinking, critical thinking, and communication skills.
