The information contained under the tabs to the left under the Faculty & Staff Assistance heading provides faculty and staff with a wide range of information regarding information technology resources available at SMSU.
The Technology Resource Center endeavors to support, educate and serve students, faculty, staff with innovative technologies for use in today's world and into the futures.
- Our TRC Help Desk provides assistance for computer related problems.
- The TRC provides Instructional Technology training.
- Users can call in for computer assistance to our telephone support.
Our Technology Resource Center employs are trained to troubleshoot computer problems. We also employ a large number of student workers for supplemental assistance, providing a quality working experience.
SMSU has a self-service portal where requests and incidents can be lodged. The Sign in information will be the user's Star ID (ab1234cd) and Star ID password. Once logged in, users can either browse the SMSU service catalog or report an Outage or incident. The SMSU service catalog shows a complete list of the services rendered, and users can select a function by hovering around the chosen option and select ask a question or raise an issue. Users can also report an Outage or incident but clicking on the link and writing a detailed description of the issue before submitting it.
