The information below offers faculty and staff a comprehensive overview of the technology services and resources available at Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU). This content is regularly updated by the Information Technology Services (ITS) to ensure faculty and staff have the support they need for a seamless and productive work experience. Available services include StarID username and password management, printing services, Wi-Fi and campus network access, D2L Brightspace, and much more.
If you have questions or need help troubleshooting, we highly recommend using the Client Portal to submit service requests or tickets and access knowledge articles to assist you with common technology issues. If you cannot access the portal, you may still submit a request by phone or email.
For more direct assistance, users may contact our telephone support line or visit the office for in-person help. The TRC Help Desk offers support for computer-related issues, delivers instructional technology training, and is equipped to troubleshoot technology problems in classrooms and other campus spaces. Additionally, we employ a large team of student workers who offer supplemental assistance, providing them with a quality work experience while catering to our campus community.
