Applying for College Now Program

An E-application is where students who have never taken an SMSU College Now class enter their data so that they are in the system and can register for their SMSU College Now course. During the first part of the application process, students will create a StarID and password.  (If a student already has a StarID from another Minnesota State institution, then they will skip this step and go directly to the "LOGIN" option.)  It is important that students keep track of this StarID and password as they will need to have them when they register for classes.

Here is a link to the online application:  SMSU Online Application

Step-by-step instructions for completing the E-application are available by selecting this link.  As you complete the e-application you may be told there is a $20 charge and a requirement that transcripts be submitted: neither is accurate for College Now applicants There is NOT a charge for PSEO e-application nor do you need to send in high school transcripts.

Registering for College Now Courses

Registration is the process where students actually enroll in their College Now course.  Students must complete this step in order to receive college credit for their class.

Here is a link for registration:  SMSU Online Registration

Step-by-step instructions for completing Registration are available by selecting this link.  As you complete your registration process, you should receive a message that your registration was successful and your name should immediately appear on the class roster for your high school teacher.
