Applying for the College Now Program

An E-application is a tool that students who have never taken an SMSU College Now class use to enter their data so they can be added to the system and register for their SMSU College Now course. During the first part of the application process, students will create a StarID and password. (If a student already has a StarID from another Minnesota State institution, then they will skip this step and go directly to the "LOGIN" option.) It is important that students keep track of their StarID and password, as they will need them when they register for classes.

SMSU Online Application

Step-by-step instructions for completing the E-application are available by selecting this link. As you complete the e-application, you may be told there is a $20 charge and that transcripts must be submitted; neither is accurate for College Now applicants. There is NOT a charge for PSEO e-application, nor do you need to send in high school transcripts.

Registering for College Now Courses

Registration is the process by which students actually enroll in their College Now course. Students must complete this step to receive college credit for their class.

SMSU Online Registration

Step-by-step instructions for completing Registration are available by selecting this link. As you complete your Registration, you should receive a message that your Registration was successful, and your name should immediately appear on the class roster for your high school teacher.
