Thank you for your interest in connecting with the Marshall community through volunteer and service opportunities. We are excited to let you know that we will be posting volunteer opportunities in our platform Handshake beginning in the 2020-2021 academic year.

MustangsVolunteer (powered by Handshake) connects prospective volunteers with local service opportunities. Students can use the site to find opportunities to fulfill service requirements. Faculty can use the site to track and organize service-learning and internships with their students. Club and organization leaders can recruit volunteers for planned service events.

Handshake is a resource that allows area organizations to post part-time jobs, full-time jobs and internships free of charge for SMSU students. Many community agencies post volunteer positions in addition to jobs and internships. Use this platform to search and find a variety of opportunities in the community in one location. To get started, login with your StarID and password. Once you activate your Handshake account, you will be able search and apply for volunteer opportunities, jobs, and internships.

Check out the live feed of service opportunities below. Selecting “Read More” will take you directly to the Handshake listing. Login to Handshake to apply or see more details
