Created by Harvey Phillips, Merry Tuba Christmas concerts have been presented in over 275 cities throughout the United States as well as several foreign counties. Phillips was inspired to create Tuba Christmas as an annual event honoring his teacher, the late tuba player William J. Bell. Each Tuba Christmas performance features traditional Christmas carols especially arranged by American composer Alec Wilder. Tuba Christmas concerts are presented with permission from the Harvey Phillips Foundation, Inc.
